  • Programs Manager

    Bria Evans is a dedicated advocate for community development and youth empowerment. As an OSI Fellow and the Operations Manager at Requity Foundation, Bria works closely with youth to create opportunities that foster growth, success, and a brighter future. Her passion for seeing others succeed drives her work, and she finds great joy in supporting and uplifting those around her.

    In addition to her role at Requity, Bria is the founder of Haven for the Homeless, a nonprofit organization committed to providing essential services and support to individuals experiencing homelessness. She also channels her love for people into her private catering business, where she takes pride in bringing joy through food.

  • Culinary Instructor

    Courtney is a Culinary Instructor with Requity, where she helps lead the organization’s culinary programming, including student training, catering operations, and We All Eat Wednesdays (WAEW).

    A graduate of Frederick Douglass High School and Coppin State University, Courtney brings both lived experience and technical skill to her work with students. She plays a central role in guiding young people through hands-on, work-based learning opportunities that connect culinary training to real-world application.

    At Requity, Courtney supports student-led catering engagements and helps oversee meal production for WAEW, a weekly initiative that provides fresh, high-quality meals to the community. Through her leadership, students gain practical kitchen experience, develop professional habits, and build confidence in their abilities.

    Courtney is committed to creating a supportive, high-expectation environment where students can grow their skills, contribute meaningfully, and see a clear pathway forward in the culinary field.

  • Construction Teacher (Carpentry)

    Damien Spears brings deep, hands-on carpentry expertise to Requity’s construction programming, guiding students through real-world building projects that emphasize craftsmanship, safety, and pride in the work. As a Construction Teacher, Damien focuses on practical skill development, helping students translate classroom learning into on-site experience that prepares them for careers in the construction trades.

    With a teaching approach rooted in doing, Damien creates learning environments where students gain confidence through repetition, problem-solving, and accountability. His work ensures that young builders develop strong foundational carpentry skills while understanding the standards, teamwork, and discipline required to succeed on professional job sites.


  • Strategy Support Manager

    DJ Fleming bridges organizational efficiency and human-centered design to support Requity’s growth and impact. As Strategy Support Manager, DJ leads efforts in program design, process improvement, and data tracking, ensuring that Requity’s work remains both technically rigorous and deeply responsive to the students and communities it serves.

    With a background in Communications and Marketing from McDaniel College and a Master’s in Social Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), DJ views strategy as a tool for supporting people and systems alike. His approach centers lived experience, inclusivity, and excellence, helping ensure that Requity’s programs evolve in ways that reflect the voices, successes, and aspirations of the young talent at the heart of the work.

  • Young Talent Assistant Operations Manager

    Dominick supports program coordination and helps ensure the day-to-day execution of student programming across initiatives.

    Dominick’s journey with Requity reflects a full-circle path of growth and purpose. He began as a media intern, contributing to storytelling and documentation efforts, including helping capture the vision behind the Carver House. Through his commitment, consistency, and leadership, he has grown into a key operational role, now supporting both program delivery and student experience.

    A student at Coppin State University studying marketing, Dominick brings a thoughtful understanding of communication, branding, and audience engagement into his work.

    In his current position, Dominick plays an important role in bridging program operations with student engagement, helping create an environment where young people can thrive. His work is grounded in a deep appreciation for the opportunity to grow within a mission-driven organization while giving back to others.

    Dominick brings energy, perspective, and authenticity to his role, embodying Requity’s belief in building pathways where young people not only participate, but lead. For him, this work represents more than a professional milestone. It is purpose in motion, rooted in growth, impact, and the power of community.on

  • Director of Development

    Helene Kahn is a nonprofit leader focused on expanding economic opportunity for young people through strong partnerships across education, philanthropy, and industry. With more than a decade of experience in Baltimore’s social impact ecosystem, she brings a relationship-driven approach to building pathways that connect young people to careers, community, and long-term economic mobility.

  • Founder, Executive Director

    As the Founder and Executive Director, Michael steers Requity's mission and vision while efficiently managing the team and daily operations. Leveraging his diverse background in manufacturing, finance, education, and entrepreneurship, he channels resources and sustainable initiatives to communities grappling with systemic disinvestment and historical discriminatory policies. Michael holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Northwestern University.

  • Administrative Services Manager

    As Head of Administration, Sabrina plays a vital role in Requity's team, providing leadership and execution across various functions, including talent management, accounting, fundraising and reporting.

  • Founder, Director of Community Engagement

    As the Founder, Board Member, and Director of Community Engagement, Sterling passionately collaborates with individuals to bring his vision to life. With a wealth of experience in turnarounds, he brings a compassionate sense of urgency into Requity's engagement strategy.

    Sterling is a graduate of Carver Vocational Technical High School with a background in Carpentry.

  • Business/ Print & Press Instructor -

    Taleisha leads Requity’s Business and Print & Press program, where she equips students with hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, branding, and production.

    A graduate of Baltimore City College High School, Taleisha brings a strong foundation in creativity and discipline to her work. At Requity, she guides students through the full lifecycle of building a product-based business, from concept and design to printing, pricing, and client fulfillment.

    She oversees the production of custom apparel and merchandise, working alongside students to deliver real client projects while teaching core business principles such as operations, customer service, and financial literacy. Under her leadership, the Print & Press shop operates as both a training environment and a revenue-generating enterprise, helping students understand the direct connection between their work and its value.

    Taleisha creates a structured and creative space where students can explore ideas, build confidence, and develop the professionalism needed to succeed in business and beyond.

  • Advisor of Architecture & Education

    As the Advisor of Architecture and Education Programs, Timmy is passionate about applying Passive House design principles and teaching high-performance building methods. With a background that began with Doma Architecture in NYC, Timmy collaboratively engages in architecture projects locally and internationally. He holds a Physics Degree from Trinity College, Oxford University, a BA from Cooper Union, and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

  • Communications and Student Support Coordinator

    Tyrin Gray is a graduate of the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business with a degree in Marketing and Supply Chain Management. As founder of GrayTEye Media, LLC, he uses photography, videography, and digital content to elevate Requity’s brand and impact.

    He also leads student support efforts and is the creator of Project E.Y.E. (Elevate Your Excellence), focused on helping youth build discipline, develop professional skills, and reach their full potential.

  • Construction Instructor / Field Lead

    Tyrone brings real-world construction experience and steady leadership to Requity’s work-based learning programs. With a deep background in framing, high-performance building practices, and jobsite coordination, he guides students through hands-on projects that demand both technical precision and accountability.

    At Requity, Tyrone works directly alongside young talent on active construction sites, helping them translate classroom knowledge into professional skill. He emphasizes craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency, while also modeling the work ethic and mindset required to succeed in the trades. Whether leading framing phases, coordinating material staging, or troubleshooting on-site challenges, Tyrone ensures that students experience construction as it truly operates in the field.

    His mentorship helps students sharpen competence, build confidence, and understand the standards expected in today’s workforce. Through his leadership, students leave projects not only with new skills, but with a clearer sense of their professional pathway.

  • Media Instructor

    A 2023 graduate of Carver, Wendell oversees content and social media creation and analytics. Additionally, Wendell works with a team of interactive media vocational high school students to document various Requity initiatives.

    In 2023, Wendell was awarded the prestigious Harbor Bank of Maryland Marketing Manager Internship.
